REACHING UP

through worship and prayer

REACHING IN

through discipleship and fellowship

REACHING OUT

What do these things mean?

Reaching up through worship and prayer

Reaching up is worship. Worship is giving genuine heartfelt praise and glory to God through singing, praying, and calling on God. Recognizing God for who He is. The goal of up-reach is to connect with the Lord and experience Him on a deeply personal level.

Reaching in through discipleship and fellowship

It is fellowship with one another, assembling together, learning from one another and meeting the needs of people who are part of the church body. The goal of in-reach is to bring every believer into personal maturity with Jesus Christ.

Reaching out through evangelism and ministry

Reaching out is telling others what God has done for us. Evangelism is going into the world to make disciples by proclaiming the gospel in word and deed. The goal of outreach is to bring people to believing faith in Jesus Christ. Reaching out is obeying the great commission:

Reaching out can include meeting the needs of people in the community, thereby showing God’s love. Reaching out also includes ministry to those outside the family here at Lakeview, through acts of service, love, and through benevolence.
