Renee' Basel

Children's Director

Music and ministry have always been a way of life for RENEÉ.  Born in Atlanta, Georgia to Rev. and Mrs. Al Rowan, she is the eldest of two children.  RENEÉ graduated from Central Bible College in 1988 with a degree in Vocal Performance/Sacred Music.  In 1989, she became one of the original members of FRIENDS, the vocal back-up group for contemporary, Christian artist Larnelle Harris.   For over 40 years of ministry, RENEÉ has traveled across the United States in concerts, youth retreats, churches, conventions, telethons, seminars and on numerous television stations as the Keynote Speaker, Worship Leader or Musical Artist.   RENEÉ has several solo recordings to her credit, with her husband, Reverend David Basel, producing her last three recordings.

Being raised in a Pastor's home, RENEÉ has always loved children and youth.  In 1990-92, she served as the Music Teacher at Praise Christian Academy in North Versailles, PA and has been a part of the Children and Youth Ministries at every church she and Pastor David have served, including being the Youth Pastor at Rainbow Temple in McKeesport, PA from 2001-2004.  RENEÉ has written two Kids Musicals, directed Fine Arts and VBS Camps, and directed District and National Award-Winning Youth Choirs.

RENEÉ and Pastor David felt called to South Florida in 2015 and have established themselves in Delray Beach, along with their 19-year old son, Daren, who is now attending Southeastern College in Lakeland, FL.  RENEÉ continues to pursue the call of God on her life by taking the exciting message of Jesus Christ with sincerity and intensity, full of joy and excitement, in creative ways to help this generation discover the purpose God has for their lives.
